Products for Life
You should only own something if it enhances the quality of your life.
After spending the last few years traveling the world and carrying everything I own on my back, I’ve experienced the freedom, simplicity, and joy that come from learning to live with less.
On my journey, I’ve spent significant time, energy, and money looking for the vital few products that increase the quality of my relationships, mental and physical health, personal growth, career, financial situation, and leisure time.
Below, I’ve listed my favorite products and why I’ve found them valuable.
For transparency, some of the links below are affiliate links, which means that if you decide to make a purchase, I will earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
I have personally used all of these products and found them incredibly valuable. I’m recommending them to you with the hope that they will also help you improve the quality of your life, not because of the small commissions I will make. Please only purchase products that you feel you need or that will help you live a more conscious and fulfilling life.
I’ve organized the products into 8 categories and will periodically update the list with new products or categories.
Clothing and Accessories
If you like having fun, you should own one of these shirts. They fit well, are comfortable, and have fun animal prints. They work well if you want to look polished or if you want to loosen up, dance, and let a few buttons down.
These shirts are pricey, but they are incredibly comfortable and dynamic. I use them to laze, work, and go out. They are also perfect for the summer and being on the road because they are breathable and don’t stink. Buy two of these, and you can replace 10 shirts in your wardrobe.
This underwear company’s mission is to make the best undies anywhere, and they absolutely do that. Not only are these underwear the softest and most comfortable that I’ve come across, but they come in all kinds of fun patterns that give you a boost of confidence if you’re going on a date, have a big presentation at work, or just want to feel amazing on the weekend.
Justinstone bracelets are affordable and have a diversity of stones to choose from. I own a few of these, but my favorite is the Golden Tiger Eye bracelet. The stone symbolizes one of my core values: courage over comfort. So if I’m nervous to walk up to a cute stranger or am hesitant about doing something difficult, I look at the bracelet and remember that finding the courage to take action will lead to personal growth and fulfillment.
These headbands are incredible. I’ve used them to play tennis, protect my face during a desert dust storm, as a sleeping mask on an airplane, and to tame out of control hair. You may not think you need a headband, but you just might! And these come in lots of fun patterns.
The Kindle is a traveling person’s best friend and the best investment I’ve ever made. It fits in your pocket and gives you access to millions of books in an instant. It can provide you with company during solo dinners and long bus rides and is easy on the eyes during the day and night. I love my kindle. Buy a Kindle even if you don’t travel.
This portable speaker is dynamic and durable. You can bring it to the beach, the Ritz-Carlton, or on a yacht. It is reasonably priced, has good sound quality, and loud enough to host a party. And you can even drop it a bunch of times without breaking it.
Health & Fitness Equipment

These resistance bands are amazing. No matter where I am, they allow me to easily workout or stretch. I often use them on long flights and after sitting at my computer for extended periods of time. They have high resistance and take up very little space.
I use this foam roller every day to support the health of my back. No matter how long I’ve been sitting at a computer or how hard I’ve been working out, this foam roller helps ease the tension in my back and prevent me from being in pain.
While I don’t practice yoga as often as I’d like, I use this very thick yoga mat to stretch, stand on hard surfaces while working, and to protect my knees while using my ab roller.
Swimming is my favorite form of exercise. It’s easy on the body, allows you to get a good workout while escaping the world of technology, and is very meditative. Not only are these goggles trendy, but they also have UV protection, don’t fog up, and are comfortable.
I’ve tried dozens of proteins, and this is my favorite. It’s the right mix of good taste and quality. I often blend it with oats and peanut butter in the morning for a hearty breakfast.
This is an all-in-one greens supplement that is recommended by Tim Ferriss as the one supplement he would use if he could only choose one. It’s a great supplement if you’re on the road or struggling to get the right nutrients from your food.
Vitamin C helps me stay healthy and energized, and this product is easy to consume, high-quality, and affordable.
This B-complex is from a science-backed brand and helps me stay healthy and reduce stress.
Personal Care & Beauty
This is the best men’s hair product that I’ve stumbled upon. It smells good, provides a nice hold, and does not have any downsides like excessive shine or stickiness.
Now that I’m getting older, I’ve been told to take the whole aging thing more seriously. This moisturizer has been a good entry point for me. It smells nice and moisturizes my face.
This all-in-one trimmer for face, head, and body styling is fantastic. I use it to trim my facial hair if I’m too lazy to shave and to give myself makeshift haircuts if I’m short on time.
This aftershave changed my relationship with shaving. It smells fantastic and makes your face feel awesome. I don’t travel without it.
When I’m nervous or deeply immersed in my work, I have a terrible habit of biting my cuticles. So instead of suffering through the pain of biting my fingers until they bleed, I started using this hand cream, and it helps to moisturize my hands and protect them from my bad habit.
Wealthfront is a low-fee, all-in-one investing platform that provides you with access to a diversified portfolio of assets. Last year, I paid an average of $15/month in foreign ATM fees. I also ended up short of cash on multiple occasions because I didn’t want to get hit with more fees. This card solves that problem by reimbursing you for all ATM fees worldwide. I also only use this as a travel account, so I don’t put my primary checking account at risk while I’m abroad.
Self-Help & Personal Growth
I love this Tibetan singing bowl – it’s incredibly high-quality and well-designed. I use it to meditate, set intentions, and relax. It even helped me get a dog to stop biting me while I was in Montenegro.
If you’re driving, cooking, cleaning, or just walking around, it’s not always easy to read a book. To get the most out of these moments, I started listening to audiobooks using Audible. You get access to all of the best books with high-quality narrators, and when you first join, they give you a 30-day free trial and 2 audiobooks, which is pretty sweet.
The Five Minute Journal allows you to start your day happier, complain less, and identify ways to improve your life. I started using it earlier this year, and with just a few minutes of effort each day, I have the benefits of positive psychology pumping through my body. It’s awesome.
Turns out that coloring is not just for kids! It helps boost creativity while reducing stress and anxiety. And this coloring book is awesome because it has NSFW adult humor. I usually color first thing in the morning or at the end of a long day to calm my mind.
I’ve used this as my primary backpack to travel to over 30 countries in the past 2 years, and it’s incredible! It’s the optimal blend of size, comfort, and simplicity. Even when it’s fully packed, it feels light on your back. It’s also easy to organize and spacious, especially with a few packing cubes. A big plus is that you can carry this bag onto any flight, and even if the overheads are full, the bag fits under your seat. You really can’t go wrong with this bag.
This daypack is hard to beat. It’s super light, spacious, and durable. I use it for everything I do – hiking, bringing my laptop to a coffee shop, carrying groceries, and more. It’s even large enough to pack lightly for a three or four day trip. Plus, Cotopaxi is an great brand that does a lot to help alleviate poverty across the world. This bag makes me feel good in every way.
These packing cubes allow you to fit more in your backpack and organize your clothing. The organization pays off when you are traveling quickly from place to place and want to avoid just throwing everything into your bag. Pro tip: the can also be used as a laundry bag.
This sleep mask is incredibly comfortable and comes in handy on airplanes and other places I’d like to sleep but am not able to turn the lights off.
